Today’s core collection show-off is Cinderella, a baby blue shade with some serious pink shimmer. This is one of the first polishes I got when I was just getting into polish last year, and I think it still holds up.
I’m wearing four coats of this, as opposed to my usual three, because it still felt a little sheer with three coats. It’s good coverage, and you might be able to get it opaque in fewer depending on how you put on your polish.
I’ve got this paired with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Go for Gold, which is a solid one/two coater and my go-to gold. It was another early purchase. And it spreads really well on water, turns out! I dislike doing the same manicures over and over in this series, so I was initially going to do a spray marble. This is where you do the same thing as a watermarble, but then use perfume, hairspray, or something similar to break up the watermarble pattern into splotches. You can see my attempt on my middle finger, but at this point it was late at night and I just wanted to get it over with, so the ring finger and thumb are regular watermarble.
Look at that shimmer.
Overall, I think this is a good polish. Simple, but with a fun little addition in the pink shimmer. If that’s your thing, then this will be right up your alley. Personally it doesn’t call to me that much anymore, and I’m not sure why, but I’m happy with how this turned out!
